The (education) System as it is

There are many factors that have lead to the loss of agency and pride across the peoples of India and other colonised countries. More and more seem to be increasingly unable to lead a life and cultivate a livelihood that allows them to live in harmony with their personal values. They are neither rooted in old traditions and neither are they equipped to deal with the chaos of the economically driven world around them.

Here you will a comprehensive study I undertook on the education system in India. Here  you will find my suggestions and recommendations in response to the system and the suggested movement forward from here.

Having developed an interest in alternative knowledge systems I have found the work at two persons particular insightful.
First - Amit Basole's recent article in the Caravan enquires into the nature of these systems in relation to employability and economics. Here you will find the article along with my annotations on the subject. His work with the Vidyashram group also offers an interesting line of enquiry into these knowledge systems.

Second: Boaventura de Souze Santos's book Epistomologies of the South explores the concept of cognitive justice and the need to identify and develop the epistomological traditions of the non-dominant peoples as a response to the dominant euro-centric traditions of knowledge that control the world as it is today.
